Small Chicken House

I've had this coop for four years. Been very happy with it. Easy to access and clean. Not had any red mite. Quality product. Would buy again.

We are new to keeping chickens and have had this coop plus run with free range end for a month now. The locking mechanism on the egg box snapped in transit but Arkus sent put a new part which arrived within a few days. I ordered the coop with the automatic chicken guard door and I’m so pleased I did. It came fitted and so far has worked well. The coop is easy to clean and is a good size for our 4 chickens. In retrospect, I wish we’d ordered the medium as I quite fancy getting more birds but coop isn’t big enough. We initially just used the run plus 1 metre extension I ordered which I think is fine if you free range regularly but the downsides are as follows: Can’t easily access the chicken guard control panel for battery changes or settings changing. We had to cut an access panel in the top of mesh. It’s hard to get drinker and feeder in through free range flap especially if you have a large feeder/drinker. We decided to us the run as a tunnel which accesses the large wooden walk in run which my husband has built. This works well. The coop itself though is fab and well made. I think I might be back for another one next year!

A lovely little house. We had an big outbreak of red mite in our wooden house. Switched to arkus recently. Much easier to keep mite free. The ramp is a bit flimsy for the price of the house.

This is my third purchase of an Arkus poultry house. That's says it all really. I happily recommend them. They are robust and easy to clean and maintain.

This house is amazing. Firstly it's made from recycled materials. Secondly it comes built. And thirdly my girls love it. Win win all around. I have always used wooden coops but never again. This is clearly going to last for years. And so easy to clean. Brilliant coop.

Great little house in a stylish and well thought through design Looks lovely and a good size for four hens. Our wooden coop rotted so we went for this for longevity and because it reuses waste material and is a company local to us. Very pleased with the product and service thank you.

The house is just as described on the website. It is light enough to move easily and seems robust. It is easy to get into and the hens adapted to it from their old wooden house quickly. It feels very weather proof and I like the adjustable ventilation.

This is my 2nd purchase I also have the large coop & stand. Absolutely brilliant really easy to clean, very secure and look great. Loads of room in the small coop for my 3 bantams, planning on getting a couple more.
