Small or Medium Chicken tall run 1m with free ranging end

We purchased the medium duck house with a stand and a 2 meter run for our 2 Aylesbury & 1 Indian runner ducks. The run was modified to account for the added height for the stand. Chris had been very helpful prior to placing the order with all our questions and we are absolutely delighted with the whole setup. It arrived quickly by pallet and we were kept informed during the whole delivery process. We were able to dismantle it and rebuild it in the back garden easily on the stand. The run was also very easy to build as well using cable ties to secure it. The ducks can easily get in & out through the large door and down the ramp, although we’ve added additional support under the ramp due to the Aylesbury’s. They’ve settled in very quickly and were very comfortable even during the 40°C heatwave. The house on the stand means that the additional 30cm height makes a big difference reducing backache when cleaning out. We do plan to making some supports so that the roof can be propped open during cleaning and egg retrieval. The modified 2m run works well and was very easy to build using cable ties to hold it together, with the skirt to deter foxes. The door at the end is big enough for the ducks to fit through when we free range them but it is not big enough for me to fit through when searching for eggs so we are swopping the cable ties out for reusable ties. We've also purchased a 600gsm sun/rain tarp from ebay in addition to help protect them from adverse weather.

I ordered this along with the house. My chickens have a secure outdoor area which I wanted to increase their space. We can't let them completely free range because we have dogs. This was so easy to attach to the house and is really sturdy. The special locks are simple to use. The fact that it is made from recycled materials is an added bonus and did help me deciding on this item.

Well made and highly functional. Only wish we had ordered a larger size!

The run is well constructed with very thick wire to keep the fox out. The only problem is access for feeding. If you want to place a feeder, you have to get one small enough to pass through the door end of the run or you have to disconnect the run from the house and move everything, breaking cable ties etc. Its not suitable for every day feeding. We have had to buy a large open run to connect to it. Just be wary of this , but well constructed, as I said. Arkus, We have now altered the design to make the end removable.
